Matthew Wells, a young writer, quits his job as a production assistant on a studio film so he can head out to the Sundance Film Festival to seek a buyer for his hot-off-the presses screenplay. Matthew expects a Mecca of art and independence, but finds that the festival is more about business than it is about art. Matthew runs into his roommate from college, and they concoct a plan to bring attention to Matthew’s script: cut it up into puzzle pieces and distribute them at the festival with a message on the back of each piece. The project becomes the most talked about item at the festival, and the pieces become highly valued. They may have pulled off one of the greatest publicity stunts ever performed at Sundance!
